Miss Scottsdales Outstanding Teen
Free Arts made a positive impact locally in our recent partnership with Miss Scottsdale Outstanding Teen. Sophia Lin reached out to Free Arts because she related to our mission: “Transforming children’s trauma to resilience through the arts.”
For the past two months, Free Arts has opened the doors to Parsons Place to renew our volunteer mentor orientations and trainings. We are excited to have future volunteer mentors in the building learning about the resilience building arts programming that Free Arts provides to the children we serve.
Join us at our Phoenix office, The Bob & Renee Parsons Place for Art and Transformation, for the next volunteer orientation and begin your journey as a Free Arts mentor.
Our 2022 Spring Professional Artist Series season includes a special series where children work with and learn from a professional muralist to transform a wall at their site into a mural.
The first Transformation Celebration was on Friday, January 28, 2022. Some attendees were neighbors in the area who had watched the construction project and wanted to learn more.
Become a volunteer mentor and help build courageous connections as one of your New Year's resolutions.
Collage of the To-Go Projects
Now, after a year, Free Arts is back on the go with To-Go Projects! This time, volunteers are packing these bags for partners to pick up.
When focused on reflection and positive thinking, an affirmation is created for someone to grow and reach their full potential.
With the arrival of COVID, words like “unprecedented” and “pivoting” and “lock down” became common language to all of us.  Free Arts was no exception.
On April 24th, Free Arts hosted the annual Art + Mentors = Resilience Conference virtually for the first time! To strengthen and connect our community, the Free Arts programs team offered workshops led by professionals who share our commitment to supporting children.
