Free Arts Volunteer Mentor Placement Begins Spring 2022

Our Volunteer Mentors together for the refresher training

Thank you for expressing your interest in becoming a volunteer mentor with Free Arts for Abused Children of Arizona. Volunteer mentors had limited opportunities during the pandemic. Over time, we adapted our programming and continue to serve the children in our community thanks to your support. Our incredible community of supporters created affirmation cards, contributed magazine clippings, and assembled bravery boxes. Together, we connected to thousands of children with the transformative power of art.

Hope is blooming at Free Arts, and you can help it grow! More of our partner agencies are opening their sites and our programs are returning to capacity. This includes the 2022 Spring Professional Artist Series. We invite you to courageously connect with Free Arts once again and support our mission by becoming a volunteer mentor.

Volunteering at Free Arts begins with a one-hour, no-obligation volunteer orientation. You will learn how to get involved in programs that connect children to opportunities about overcoming trauma through artistic expression. You help create a safe space where children can express themselves and discover their strengths by volunteering at Free Arts. Volunteering also has positive effects on those who donate their time, such as improved self-esteem, well-being, and overall happiness.

Our volunteer opportunities aren’t limited to artists! In fact, no artistic skills are required to volunteer. We offer both short-term and long-term volunteer opportunities mentoring children, working in our office, hosting an art supply drive, or running a fundraising campaign.

Join us at our Phoenix office, The Bob & Renee Parsons Place for Art and Transformation, for the next volunteer orientation and begin your journey as a Free Arts mentor. Thank you for giving your time to Free Arts! For more information and registrations email or click here for register for an orientation.

Our Volunteer Mentor program and opportunities would not exist without the community support. Continue supporting the program here when you become a Seeds of Hope Donor.
