Kick off your First Friday with an evening of art making at Free Arts. Join us for a FREE collage workshop with Free Arts Teaching Artist, Brittney Garcia, who will lead you through a mixed-media exploration of your creative inner life. Studies show that just 40 minutes of creating art reduces stress and cortisol levels. What a perfect way to wind down your work week, and jump start your First Friday evening.

We’ll have tours of our building, light refreshments, and a unique opportunity to make and take YOUR own art this First Friday. Free Arts’ very own Bea Bohannon will be DJ’ing. All materials will be provided.

Collage workshops start at 4 different times throughout the event. Plan on arriving by 6 to ensure the opportunity to complete your collage! Open to all ages, but recommended for ages 8 and up. We can’t wait to see you there!

Friday, November 7, 4—7 p.m.

Also note: We are hosting a food drive for St. Mary’s Food Bank. Between 11/3 and 11/14, we’re collecting unopened, non-perishable food items in their original packaging at Parson’s Place by the front desk. Their highest priority needs are:

  • Canned vegetables
  • Peanut butter
  • Canned fruit
  • Canned soup
  • Canned protein
  • Rice and beans
  • Cereal
  • Pasta

The Open House would be a great time to drop off these much-needed items.
