Over the summer, Free Arts added a new staff member, and a new board member to our team. Casey Cole is the new Programs Assistant at Free Arts, and Julia Soto has joined the Free Arts Board of Directors. We are very excited to have both of them as part of our team!
Casey Cole is a graduate from Arizona State University with a M.A. in Ethnomusicology. She is a lifelong musician and enjoys exploring new instruments along with studying and researching the healing properties of music. Casey has spent the last five years working with children through teaching preschool and music classes. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, exploring outdoors, baking treats, and crafting.
Julia Soto is an Arizona native, having been born and raised in Southern Arizona. She has worked at Phoenix Children’s Hospital for the past nine years and is currently a Director of Practice Based Operations. She oversees the operations of varying surgical and medical practices in addition to the Homeless Youth Outreach and Crews’n Healthmobile Program, the Center for Resiliency and Wellness Program that focuses on adverse childhood experiences, and the Child Protection Team. Julia is also a member of the hospital’s Abuse and Neglect Expert Panel and Organizational Psych Committee. She earned her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Statistics from Boston University and her Master of Non-Profit Studies degree from Arizona State University.
