Free Arts’ Mission is transforming children’s trauma to residence through the arts. Our research-based program model, Art + Mentors = Resilience, helps our participants build the resilience they need to overcome adversity by connecting them with caring adult volunteer mentors and intentional arts activities that develop both their skills and sense of self. Our vision is that every child who has experienced the trauma of abuse, neglect and/ or homelessness has access to resilience building arts programs and caring adult volunteer mentors. Here are three easy ways to support us:
Free Arts for Abused Children of Arizona is a Qualifying Foster Care Charitable Organization for the state of Arizona. This tax credit allows Arizona taxpayers to redirect their tax dollars to help bring trauma-informed, resilience building arts programs to the more than 7,000 children that Free Arts serves annually.
Eligible contributions made to a Qualifying Foster Care Charitable Organization that are made on or before April 15 may be applied to either the current or the preceding taxable year and are considered to have been made on the last day of that taxable year. Donors can contribute to multiple tax credits in Arizona and may receive a dollar-for-dollar credit for each contribution. Rise to Resilience and make your contribution today! Learn more here.
NOTE: Free Arts’ QFCO code is 10015.
Free Arts relies on our volunteer mentors, teaching artists, event volunteers, group volunteers, and volunteers who provide other types of support, like office and administrative support, to make our programs possible.
To you, it’s a few hours each week. To a child at Free Arts, it’s a chance to connect, create, and build a bright future.
