When it comes to Free Arts, anyone can be a fundraiser! We rely on many third-party events organized by dedicated supporters throughout the community to help raise funds to support our mission. These fundraisers are hosted independently, allowing Free Arts staff to focus on running our programs and securing grants. We offer support by providing marketing resources and fundraising tips. Free Arts has been the beneficiary of bowling nights, dinner parties, company giving days, and more. Here are a few highlights of the third-party events that have recently supported Free Arts:
Interiors Student Alliance is a student organization for interior design and interior architecture at Arizona State University. For the past two years, ISA has organized an annual auction benefiting Free Arts called Light for Hope. The auction features original light fixtures designed, crafted, and gifted by students. Proceeds are also matched by a private donor. On October 30, 2020, ISA hosted a virtual event on the last day of the auction, featuring a video reel highlighting each auction item. The 2020 Light for Hope fundraiser raised over $3,000 for Free Arts.
Snooze, an A.M. Eatery is a popular brunch spot with restaurants across eight states and seven locations in the Valley. Since 2013, Snooze Town & Country on Camelback Road has supported Free Arts through gift cards, catering, and an annual fundraiser. Every year, Snooze celebrates its anniversary with festivities that include donating 10% of their sales to a community partner. Last year, Snooze named Free Arts as the beneficiary for its 7th Anniversary. On November 25th, Snooze raised $825 for Free Arts.
Sentient Tattoo Collective is a tattoo studio and fine art gallery in Tempe. They promote Free Arts as their nonprofit of choice through social media, and their artists have partnered with Free Arts as volunteer mentors and teaching artists. For the past two years, they have organized an annual art auction benefiting Free Arts. From March 16 to March 21, 2021, they hosted a virtual art auction that featured unique sculptures created and donated by their artists. This year, Sentient Tattoo Collective raised over $1,000 for Free Arts.
