Creative Programming for Creative Times

A COVID-19 Update

Even during this difficult time, Free Arts is transforming children’s trauma to resilience through the arts.  Though most of our regular program are on pause, we have created new innovative options for children who have experienced trauma, their caregivers, and the community.

  • Art Heals Videos: A video series which is available to the children in our programs as well as the general public that includes instruction from professional teaching artists in a specific art form and self-awareness concepts that highlight the use of art-based coping tools.
  • Hope Packages/Take-Home Projects – Art project curriculum and materials available to our 40 social service partner agencies.
  • Caregiver Community  A weekly online meeting and corresponding Facebook group for program staff of our social service agency partners as well as foster/kinship parents to share best practices and trauma informed coping strategies.
  • Alumni Connection – Intentional opportunities designed to allow alumni to connect to Free Arts, one another, and community resources.

You can be a part of the transformation by making a donation, or attending a volunteer orientation.  For other additional ways to help please click here.
