We’d like to give a warm welcome to the newest Free Arts staff members!
Paula Wilson, Free Arts Program Coordinator, has 20 years of experience working with children in various capacities. She moved to Arizona from the east coast 16 years ago, and her past experiences have helped her learn about the various ways individuals handle traumatic experiences and how positive connections can support in building resilience. Paula is full-time student at Grand Canyon University who enjoys hiking, staycations, and spending time with her husband and kids.
Rukiya Anthony, Free Arts Program Administrator, is experienced in women and child-advocacy, most specifically Black women and Black children. She is invested in decolonizing mental healthcare and developing educational platforms for families of color. She was raised in Missouri and Louisiana and moved to Arizona in 2016. Rukiya sees her career as a ministry and not just a job. In her spare time, she enjoys reading young adult Sci-fi books, watching YouTube makeup tutorials, and practicing photography.
